Decorating Your First Apartment

So you bought or rented your first place and it's time to decorate.

Where to start?

Make A List

Make a list of things that you absolutely need to get started and buy those first. You could think of certain pieces of furniture and appliances, and of course your flooring, wall deco and window dressings.

Make A Budget

How much do you want to spend on each item? What will it total to? And do you want furniture that will last you for many years or is it okay if they don't last as long because you don't plan to keep them? That will make a difference in how much you spend on each item.

Get Some Assistance

Ask your skilled friends and family members if they want to help you out with paint jobs, DIY projects and perhaps finding thrifted or second hand items. This can help you out if your budget is tight but you still want to have a nicely decorated place to start out with.

Get Inspired

Now that you now what you need, it's time to get some inspo online or in real life. One of my next posts will be about this subject, so stay tuned!
